AboutKoreanfood:김밥(gimbab)


Gimbap is considered as the culture from ssam, the wrapped rice culture. Usually, gimbap is made of seasoned rice and other vegetables, but there is also 'Chungmu Gimbap' which is just rice and dried seaweed cut in small chunks and usually we eat with kimchi and squid salad. Gimbap is not only simple to make, but also very nutritious, so men and women of all ages love gimbap. When someone go to picnic or travelling, almost everyone take gimbap for their lunch, since gimbap is easy to make. Recently, there are some gimbaps with other various vegetables, beef, tuna, kimchi, cheese, or salad, and there are even 'nude gimbab' which the rice part is at the outer part.
